Rydym wedi croesawu’r gwanwyn o’r diwedd i Ddyffryn Llanddewi Nant Hodni, ar ôl gaeaf hirlwm o wynt a glaw. Mae’r gwaith wedi mynd rhagddi trwy gydol y misoedd oer ac mae ein contractwyr IJ Preece wedi symud ymlaen yn aruthrol gan atgyweirio trawstiau’r to a ffenestri a delio â gollyngiadau dŵr, ymhlith llu o dasgau eraill.  Gellir darllen manylion llawn y datblygiadau diwethaf ar ein blog diweddaraf sydd ar gael yma.

Spring has finally settled in the Llanthony Valley, a welcome respite from winter rain and wind.  Despite the cold, work progressed throughout the winter at a rapid pace and our contractors IJ Preece, have made great progress – repairing roof timbers, windows and dealing with water ingress, to name just a few tasks.  Our latest blog documents the progress in more detail and is available here.

Mae pob un o’n hartistiaid preswyl wedi bod wrthi’n synfyfyrio ar ddatblygiad y gwaith yn ei ffordd ei hunan -  Toril Brancher a Cath Baker trwy gyfrwng ffotograffiaeth ac arlunio.  Dysgwch ragor am waith Toril yma (cyswllt â fideo byr).Mae Clare Potter wedi bod wrthi’n hel argraffiadau sain ac yn ysgrifennu am ei phrofiadau wrth ymweld â’r safle. Darllenwch ei cherdd fer ddiweddaraf: Today, I Listen here.

Our artists in residence have been absorbing the work in progress, each in their own way -  Toril Brancher and Cath Baker through photography and drawing.  Find out more about Toril’s work
here (link to short video).Clare Potter has been capturing audio and writing short impressions about her experiences visiting the site. Read her most recent short poem Today, I Listen here

Rydym yn paratoi ar gyfer yr wythnos Treftadaeth Wrth Ei Gwaith nesaf.  Diolch i bob un sydd wedi gwirfoddoli i fod yn rhan o’r tîm ym mis Mai – rydym yn edrych ymlaen yn frwd at wythnos brysur o waith a chymdeithasu.  Rydym yn dal i recriwtio ar gyfer mis Medi; anfonwch
e-bost felly os oes diddordeb gennych chi mewn dysgu mwy am waith cadwraeth ar adeiladau ac y carech chi roi help llaw ar y prosiect.  Does dim angen bod â phrofiad blaenorol.

Preparations are being made for the next Heritage at Work week.  Thanks to all of those who have volunteered to be part of the team in May - we look forward to a busy and sociable week.  We are still recruiting for September, so if you are interested in learning more about building conservation and would like to lend a helping hand on the project then email us.  No previous experience is necessary.

Os na allwch chi sbario wythnos gyfan, ond rydych chi’n awyddus i ddysgu am y gwaith yr ydym wedi bod yn ei wneud, dylech chi gael cip ar raglen ein Dyddiau Astudio ar 26ain Mai a 22ain Medi. Neu, i ymweld â ni’n llai ffurfiol, dewch draw i un o’n Dyddiau Agored ni ar 27ain Mai neu 23ain Medi.  Achlysur ar gyfer y teulu i gyd yw’r dyddiau agored hyn – ond cadwch mewn cof bod rhaid cerdded tipyn o ffordd lan y bryn o’r maes parcio i’r safle. I weld rhagor o fanylion ewch at ein gwefan (gweler hefyd y safleoedd Landmark eraill sy’n agored i’r cyhoedd eleni).

If you can’t spare a week, but are still keen to learn about the work we have been doing, then do check the programme of our Study Days on 26th May and 22nd September.  Or for a less formal visit, come along to one of our Open Days on 27th May or 23rd September  The open days are a family friendly event – but please be aware, there is fair walk uphill from the carpark to the site. For more details check our website (as see also other Landmark building open to the public this year).

Best wishes
