We don't want to tempt fate, but it's seeming as though Spring has finally arrived. We have some exciting volunteer opportunities, so please read on!

Inspiring Landmarks – a summer exhibition.

In an exciting new initiative this year for Landmark,  we are hosting Inspiring Landmarks. This contemporary art exhibition runs from 29 June – 4 July in Spitalfields, one of the liveliest parts of London.  Three professional artists working in differing media will exhibit works directly inspired by some of Landmark’s best loved buildings. If you’d like to help us staff the exhibition alongside Landmark staff, do get in touch promptly – volunteer places will be limited and allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Astley Castle Volunteers at work

Warwickshire Conservation Volunteers are once again helping to keep the moat and footpaths at Astley Castle clear.  Many thanks to this team, many of whom have been volunteering at Astley since we first began the project to save this wonderful building and landscape.

Belmont Stable Information Room - Rachel needs some pals!

Having been closed up over the winter months, the stables have now had their spring clean and are ready to open on Friday afternoons from May, manned by loyal long standing volunteer Rachel. If you live in or near Lyme Regis can you help too? - Email us your interest if you can.

Open Days for 2017 programme
Our open days will soon be in full swing, beginning with Morpeth Castle and Gothic Temple later this month and continuing all the way through to December. If you'd like to visit or help at any of the open days you can see a full list here.

Llwyn Celyn - Heritage at Work weeks

All the volunteer places on our Heritage Lottery funded Heritage at Work week in May have now been filled and participants notified. The next one will be in September and we still have a few places available. You can read more about these weeks here. If you are interested in joining the team, email us or sign up to Llwyn Celyn newsletter for regular updates about the project.

And finally, in our own Engagement team at Shottesbrooke, today we say au revoir to Nina as she heads off on maternity leave, and welcome Katy Higgins, our new Engagement Assistant who will also be covering Nina’s role during her absence. We look forward to welcoming our newest Landmark volunteer very soon!

Wishing everyone a very Happy Easter break,

The Engagement Team
